I had a great experience with Erdem Hospital in July 2020. I travelled alone for the gastric sleeve. From the time I booked, I felt at ease. The hospital is so clean. Very basic but clean. All the nursing staff were so lovely. Not much English so used Google translate alot. But the level of care was second to none. Dr Ali Solmez was so nice and helped keep me at ease. He checked in on me everyday post-op which was nice. I stayed Mon to Friday in the hospital and spent the weekend in the Hilton Hotel before flying home. All in all, it was a great experience and I've recovered really well and the weight is falling off me. I plan to go back next year for my mommy makeover.
Very good experience, I come from Istanbul Bariatric Academy and the truth is that it is the best thing I have been able to do in my life, my mother Dolores recommended it to me and I am very grateful, as much as my mother, the nurses of Intensive Care Unit and the nurses on the fifth floor. After researching bariatric surgery and making a decision to go ahead, I chose Dr Akif Aydın because I read previous comments about him. All the staff were always there for my questions and concerns. Thank you, everyone. I only had my gastric bypass surgery. Dr. Aydın was very helpful and put me at ease as soon as I met him. He made sure all my pre-op tests came back fine before going ahead. After my surgery, he came around to let me know it was all done and there were no concerns. He came to examine me daily until I left the hospital. The best hospital and the best patient care
It has been 1.5 years since I performed my surgery, he is such a caring surgeon that I am still in contact and under his control. You can trust with your eyes closed, I wish I had known before, I wasted unnecessary time.
