At the age of 50, I was a patient with blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol, unable to stand or even stand up unaided because of pain in my knees and lower back. The pre operative work up I received was outstanding. The surgeon was a lovely man as were his team. Post op care was also outstanding. One nurse on nights was not very nice or helpful but apart from her everyone else was amazing.
It has been 16 months since the operation. I went to my internal medicine doctor this week. General screening tests etc. The results were much better than expected.
